One of the great things about living in today’s world of abundance and opportunity is that almost everything you want to do has already been done by someone else. The easiest and fastest way to get anything done is by following the steps or tracks of those who have successfully accomplished it. Irrespective of the career path you choose, there are gurus in those fields. Try as much as possible to get across to them either through their books, one-on-one interview or by sending them a mail.

Following the clues of success helps us to avoid unnecessary mistakes, it averts wastage of resources, and also saves our time. Oftentimes, we are of the opinion that successful people would not be willing to share their success secrets. Nevertheless, we should understand that true success is all about creating more successes. Any man who hoards his secret to the top is not truly successful.

The price of your ignorance might be very costly. You can get there sooner if you choose to learn from those who have gotten their first. Experience, they say is the best teacher. But it is sometimes good if it is not your experience. There is no where you are going in life that someone has not been there before. Read about their journey, there ups and down, their challenges and victory. You learn more when you learn from others.

Ask someone if you can shadow them for a day, week or months. Offer to be a volunteer, assistant, or intern for someone you think you can learn from. Seek out a teacher, coach, mentor, a manual, books or audio program, or an internet resource to help you achieve one of your major goals. Every guru was once an apprentice, Michael Faraday was once an apprentice in Humphrey David laboratory. Every expert was once a student. Be sensitive to the clues around you, as journey your way through success. All you need is all around you if only you are creative enough to see them.
